Brothers of the Desert is proud to announce that we held a successful gala and fundraiser, Spring Affair on Saturday April 16th with over 150 people in attendance. During the evening we honored some incredible community leaders from the Black LGBTQ+ community, Ron Oden, Barbara Carpenter, Lucy DeBardelaben and Gail Christian with our legacy award. We also gave our legacy ally award to Congresswoman Barbara Lee for her years of championing the rights and freedoms of our community. Here is what she had to say in accepting her award.
