Our quarterly speaker series continued last week with Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist, Gamal Palmer and Emil Wilbekin, Founder of Black Gay Men's Organization, Native Son.  The talk titled, "The Journey of Intersectionality and Authenticity" provided attendees with the opportunity to learn from a pair of very impressive thought leaders.

Palmer opened the presentation to Brothers by asking how members of the organization how they can "continue to allow others in proximity[...]to be their full selves? Former vibe magazine editor-in-chief Emil Wilbekin then reflected that he started his organization, Native Son as an "intervention for himself" to create space for his identity an HIV-positive black gay man.  Although omitted from the recording below a number of the brothers took the opportunity to share their personal experiences as black gay men.
